Introducing ourselves

Welcome to the Department of Orthodontics of the UKL!

We straighten misaligned teeth, correct interdisciplinary jaw misalignments and help you to achieve an aesthetically pleasing result.

Straight teeth not only look good, they are also an important factor when it comes to dental health.

Our range of treatments includes functional orthodontic early treatments for children in the milk dentition or early alternating dentition, removable braces in children, fixed braces and other devices in children, adolescents and adults, as well as therapy with the "invisible" braces such as transparent splints or fixed braces that are attached to the inside of the teeth.

We can correct misaligned teeth and jaw anomalies with various removable and fixed braces in children, adolescents and adults. Furthermore, patients with craniofacial malformations or pronounced jaw malpositions are treated by us on an interdisciplinary basis.

Specialist Dentist Standard

In our department, all patients are treated carefully and at the highest medical level. All patient cases are discussed during our weekly team meeting and co-worked on by Professor Köhne. Since we train dentists to become orthodontists, the "multi-eye" principle always prevails in order to be able to offer you as a patient the best possible therapy.

Treatment as a team

We also offer special consultation hours together with other disciplines in order to be able to treat patients of all ages with cleft lip and palate, craniofacial malformations or pronounced jaw misalignments (dysgnathia) in an interdisciplinary and careful manner.
