Dr. Kluge studierte in Berlin und Wien Medizin. Mehrmonatige
Studienaufenthalte führten ihn nach Madrid (Hospital Universitario), London
(National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery) und Botucatu, Brasilien
(Universidad Estatal Paulista). Seine ärztliche Laufbahn begann er am
Universitätsklinikum Bonn, wo er zunächst an der Klinik für Epileptologie (Dir.
Prof. Dr. C. E. Elger) und dann an der Klinik für Psychiatrie und Psychotherapie
(Dir. Prof. Dr. W. Maier) beschäftigt war. Nach einer gut dreijährigen Tätigkeit
als Arzt in der klinischen Forschung bei der Firma Lilly in Bad Homburg war er
anschließend sechs Jahre am Max-Planck-Institut für Psychiatrie (Dir. Prof. Dr.
Dr. F. Holsboer) als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter tätig. Seit 2010 ist er nun
Oberarzt an der Klinik für Psychiatrie und Psychotherapie des UKL (Dir. Prof.
Dr. U. Hegerl). Sein wissenschaftliches Hauptinteresse gilt
psychoendokrinologischen und psychopharmakologischen Fragestellungen. Zu diesen
Themen habilitierte er sich auch 2012 mit der Schrift Neuroendokrine Effekte von
Ghrelin und Psychopharmaka sowie endokrine Befunde bei psychischen
Erkrankungen.
Er ist verheiratet und hat zwei Kinder. Er lebt und arbeitet sehr gerne in
Leipzig.
