We provide expert evaluation and management of patients with all kinds of endocrine disorders. As part of the University of Leipzig Medical Center we have access to all facilities of a state-of-the-art, maximum-care teaching hospital.

Thyroid disorders
Parathyroid diseases
Diabetes mellitus (including complications)
Adrenal diseases
Hormonal abnormalities of reproductive function

Visiting hours

The main part of our work takes place in the morning. In order to not disturb our processes, patients can be visited after 3 pm (in general). In exceptional cases, appointments can be arranged earlier or 24-7, respectively.

Nutrition counseling

Our Department of Endocrinology and Nephrology offers nutrition counseling for various disorders including patients with:

Diabetes mellitus Type 1
Diabetes mellitus Type 2
Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM)
Dyslipidemia
Obesity
Postsurgical, e.g. after bariatric surgery
Chronic kidney disease (CKD)
End stage renal disease on renal replacement therapy

Diabetes self-management education

For all patients with diabetes mellitus, we offer several diabetes self-management education programs including programs suitable for:

Patients with diabetes mellitus type 1 on intensive conventional insulin therapy (ICT)
Patients with diabetes mellitus type 2
Patients with diabetes mellitus type 2 on intensive conventional insulin therapy (ICT)
Patients with diabetes mellitus on continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion (CSII)
Patients with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM)
Patients with diabetes mellitus and continuous glucose monitoring (CGM)
