The Paul Flechsig Institute (PFI) is a neuroscience research institute affiliated with the Medical Faculty of Leipzig University. The institute's research focuses on translational neuroscience basic research into neuron-glia interaction and myelination disorders of the central and peripheral nervous system. In addition, we are dedicated to investigating cellular and molecular aspects of neurodegenerative diseases and researching pathophysiological mechanisms with the aim of developing diagnostic and therapeutic strategies.
